This flashlight is terrific. It is really bright, and rather than the bluish look of LED lights this one is definitely white. The spot is very solid and long, maybe not quite as long as expected but it does the job. The spill light also remains very bright and is pretty useful. Overall, the flashlight is very light and easy to hold with an easy to press switch. The Dorcy is easier to hold than it’s competitors, although it’s probably not quite as durable to use as a hammer.
I really enjoyed testing this light. I’ve had several of those “1 million candle power” flashlights over the years, and either the bulb burns out too quickly or the battery manages to lose its charge too fast. If you’re tired of the hassles like me, this one is a keeper.
